Task Host Window

Question

While shutting down, a message 'Task Host Window  is running background tasks' is being displayed.

I was asked to Force Shut Down or to close the process by clicking cancel.

I already tried Force Shut Down(Shut Down Anyway) and my PC behavior was adversely affected.

I've browsed many forums and no proper solution is available to this problem.

Hot fixes are made available for Windows 7 bot not for Windows 8.

I hope a solution and Thanks.

Me, too! Obviously, a recent update caused this for users. How about a fix?

Same issue here with Windows 8.1. Just recently started to prevent shutdown of the system. Does anyone got a fix for that nuisance? Thanks!

I keep having this same problem too - VERY annoying.

It has also effected my email it appears - effectively shutting it down with a no response message.

Help- I am having this same problem!  Please help.  Seems connected to outlook and one drive.  Everything is frozen so I can't disable anything.
