Task Host Window

While shutting down, a message 'Task Host Window  is running background tasks' is being displayed.

I was asked to Force Shut Down or to close the process by clicking cancel.

I already tried Force Shut Down(Shut Down Anyway) and my PC behavior was adversely affected.

I've browsed many forums and no proper solution is available to this problem.

Hot fixes are made available for Windows 7 bot not for Windows 8.

I hope a solution and Thanks.

    I've had the same problem with Windows10, however it's intermittent. Shuts down sometimes and other times goes through the annoying 'Task Host Window running in background' blah blah blah. I can't find anything running anywhere. I've just decided that once again Microsoft has done something to spoil (what was looking like) an easy ride with a new great system that just worked. Suggest we all do what we've done for decades with Microsoft and wait for them to fix it with some update in the future.

    I've tried the responses to date and I really haven't got the time to play computer technician. It's not why we buy these very expense products, just to have them in the garage all the time!

    One day we'll hear from Microsoft and get this fixed before the next problem arises.

    Somebody said that the KB 3058515 affect this and he removes this update and is successful to correct this
