Anyone had success with setting up a Gmail POP Account in Outlook for Mac?

I have Outlook for Mac and have been unable to add a new Gmail Account with POP Settings. It was tricky to get to the IMAP/POP setup screen in Tools > Accounts, but once there, I can enter in all the details. When I click on Add Account, no success. Has anyone else had any success with POP setup in Outlook for Mac? Frustrated to say the least!

Hi Josh...I setup an Exchange Account and just imported all of my calendar and contacts into Exchange. This is the only thing that works with Outlook since Microsoft removed that sync feature from Outlook several years back. Personally, I prefer to use Outlook as my mail, calendar and contact application and not the delivered Mac products which are three separate apps. I still have two email accounts with Google though that I've setup as POP3 and those still do not work with the new Outlook. Thanks, Patty

I am currently going through this issue with a co-worker after switching our system to Gmail. He wants to use pop instead of IMAP as he likes to keep a running file of backup on his PC.

I am using all the correct settings on a WINDOWS computer running Microsoft Outlook 365. It simply refuses to cooperate with importing Gmail Pop. I am literally running into every single issue that Patricia has.

We do not use 2-Step Authentication so I have no idea where to go with this.
