I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

    Hi Arun,

Can I ask that you file the same exact piece of feedback via the feedback app under Hardware, Buses and Drivers\USB Devices and Connectivity (and also include a link to this thread if possible.) When going through the app please select "Problem", this will insure we get logs so that we can investigate.

    Thanks!

Thanks a lot for this solution!! It worked great for my Thinkpad Edge!

(After Upgrade from Win8.1 to Win10Home (official) my external USB keyboard worked well in BIOS but didn't work in Windows (after startup). The wireless USB Mouse connected to the same USB controller worked, though. To solve it temporarily, I had to unplug/replug the keyboard after every startup. Driver reinstallation etc. didn't help. After following your description the keyboard is now working fine on each startup.)

I'll look into my issue more tonight, but I installed the Windows 10 Upgrade on my Windows 7 Pro machine yesterday and Keyboard/mouse stopped working shortly after upgrade. I was able to login. After restart keyboard and mouse (Razer Tron set) no longer working. I can remote desktop into the system. Problems seemed to appear after converting from local account login to "Live" login, not sure it matters (guessing not, likely some driver was updated one of the first few reboots). I plan to review more about this tonight or tomorrow evening.

    Hello ,

I was able to sort the problem out in my lenovo u410 by disabling the usb legacy in the bios mode.
