Mouse and keyboard input not working after windows 10 upgrade from windows 7.
I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

2015-08-03T11:33:56+00:00 Was the USB controllers for sure, think it was code (48). Ended up rolling back to 7 and backing up everything. Then Windows 10 refused to upgrade again on that machine. Had to do a clean install of 7, and install the security updates then I was able to install Windows 10, choose keep nothing, and it is working so far without any issues. Still have all of my software and driver updates to install though, so we'll see if they go out again.

2015-08-04T11:07:03+00:00 Hi all,
I was part of the Insider Program testers for Windows 10. I installed it on a computer I built sometime ago and everything worked great. A couple days a go, I upgraded my Windows 8.1 on a Dell Inspiron and everything worked as well. I downloaded the ISO because I wanted to try installing a fresh copy instead of the upgrade. I created an image of the computer before attempting the fresh install. So, after installing the fresh install and restarting a few times, suddenly... the mouse and keyboard stopped working. I reverted back to the upgrade image and the mouse and keyboard seem to work again. There is something definitely going on here.
Can somebody from Microsoft please look into this issue? It seems to be happening on some computers only.

2015-08-04T14:45:05+00:00 I have run into the same issue as well. After upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10, everything worked perfectly fine. After Windows 10 came up I got a couple notifications of new drivers that needed to be installed for my GPU and my Razer Synapse program (using Razer USB keyboard and Razer USB mouse). Like usual, after those types of driver updates the computer wants to restart. So, I restarted the computer and now neither my keyboard or mouse work. I have tried other USB ports with no successful results and have tried other USB keyboards and mice and my computer doesn't even register that they exist.
I don't have a way to remote access my computer from another computer and I don't have any keyboards or mice that aren't USB. I would restore back to WIndows 7 but I have no way to control my computer. I have tried multiple restarts as well with no success.
When I restart or turn on the computer the keyboard and mouse flash on for just a split second before going off and then my motherboard beeps at me and says there is no keyboard detected.
I really have no idea what to do at this point...maybe it's time to just buy a new SSD and do a clean install...

2015-08-04T15:08:48+00:00 Spikinnike I had the same problem wen upgrading from Windows 7 to 10
But the keyboard and mouse were not working in the login area so I decided to go the boot menu and the keyboard and mouse was working fine in the boot menu
So I decided to then downgrade back to 7
I would recommend u to do that
I am just gonna wait for about a month or so when All of these bugs are fixed
