Hi I have a HP Spectre laptop and I have had bluetooth on my laptop. Today my microsoft bluetooth mouse stopped working as well as my other bluetooth devices. I have checked and this is the message I get. Now I have had bluetooth on this laptop since I purchased it and have not done anything to the laptop.

"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

"To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

and this:

Device USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2B\5&3a83d6be&0&7 requires further installation."

How can I fix this!!!

You need to execute the driver file after downloading it from Intel (double-click). Downloading it is not enough.

Mine's dropped again, so I tried the updated driver solution, but I can't seem to get Windows to update manually even after I've downloaded the the 20.30 version - it keeps saying I have the latest driver, even though it's 20.20. Could you please walk me through it? Many thanks.

No worries.  Glad it worked.  Hope MS Customer support takes note.  This was a pretty widespread problem that should be addressed.
