Windows updates failing error code 0x800703F1

Windows stopped updating error code 0x800703F1

Have tried a system reset which failed.

Then tried to do a clean install from usb but the media creation tool will not recognize the usb because it needs to install drivers which windows can't do at the moment.

Have tried to "upgrade this computer" option from the mct as well.

Glad to help. The corruption of the Drivers hive was most likely caused by file system corruption or an unexpected reboot (maybe due to a power outage or a BSOD), causing the faulty write operation to the registry hives.

Please run this tool (64-bit).

Allow it to fix the registry hive when prompted.

That should fix the error. See if you can install the updates.
