2025-02-26T20:43:17+00:00 Sorry, but it seems that you are not understanding the OP. When issuing the WSL commands the system responds with "The system cannot find the path specified." I have exactly the same problem. none of the 'wsl' commands work they always return the same error. It looks like there is a missing path someplace but there is no information as to what the paths should be. I've gone around and around following the installation instructions, with the same result.
I got into this mess the same way as the OP and others, I deleted docker desktop, wsl distros, and tried to clean up the system. No wsl.exe always returns this same error message.
thanks, von

2025-02-26T20:51:05+00:00 [EDIT] Using UmarF8 post from November 2024, I install the wsl.2.2.4.0_x64.msi from https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/releases/ and that solved the problem.
Hey UmarF8, I'm having the same issues. WSL was working, somewhat, I uninstalled it, now the 'WSL' commands are broken, with the same error message as you were receiving. What do you mean that you reset your PC? Do you mean that you did a complete reinstallation of windows? I sure hope that was not the case. I am almost to that point but mine is an older installation with lots of special stuff installed. It is not worth the time to do all of that.
I think that it is something broken in a path variable or in the registry.
Wish me luck,
Von
