When you reboot the machine, does the new account show up on the logon screen?
Problem with Switching Users on Windows 10.
Hey Community Support,
I recently wanted another desktop of myself so i made a new user in Windows 10. However, when I press CTRL + ALT + DEL and then click on switch user, it just gives me my original account. It shows up on Settings --> Search --> Users.
I tried lusrmgr.msc but it says that this version is not supported by lusrmgr.msc. Go to control panel and search user instead. So how do I switch accounts now.

May I verify what edition of Windows is installed on your machine? Because lusrmgr.msc is only available on Pro and Enterprise Edition
To switch user you can try clicking the start menu then click on your profile picture. Then select the account that you want to use. Kindly see attached image for added reference.
Best regards,
Van

2021-01-27T13:40:28+00:00 No, I do not see multiple users on my logon screen. The same happens when I press Switch Account after CTRL ALT DEL. It takes me to the same place if I pressed Windows + L (Lock). I haven't been facing the problem in another laptop (which FYI is Windows 10).

Well, I did my background research and tried that stuff out. And no, when I click on my User, it just shows three options.
- Change Account Settings
- Lock
- Sign out
I think the reason I tried lusrmgr.msc is because I used Windows 10 Pro until very recently. And FYI, when i click CTRL + ALT + DEL and click on switch user, nothing happens. It just takes me to the page if I press Windows + L. I cannot see any other user. I am forced to click and then it asks for the password of the current user.
Thanks!

Kindly check your group policy if the Hide for Fast User Switching is enabled.
Press Windows key + R, then type gpedit.msc . In the Group Policy windows go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon
Double click the "Hide entry points for Fast User Switching" setting. If it is enabled, please set it to not configured or disabled, click apply then ok. Check if you can now switch users. If it is not working, try to reboot your PC then try again.
If the above steps still do not work. May I ask, is your machine connected to a domain?
Best regards,
Van
