System Firmware Cannot Start

System firmware is showing a code 10 error message on device manager, saying that "firmware update was unsuccessful." Could this be because I have a BIOS update? My laptop is an Asus G14 2021 model

(My laptop also froze recently and was making a buzzing noise from the speakers which I'm not sure if it is related to this or not.)

Yes a rollback of the driver is worth a try.

Please let me know what ASUS support says and if they are able to resolve the issue please mention the steps taken at that others having similar issue can be helped.

When I try to look up what your Bios update should be I have to enter additional numbers, such as GA401QM. If I check that system, the Bios update is 410 from 1/7/22. If this is not yours, what is the special number?

There appear to be downloads for using the EZ flash utility (6.85 MBs), which is what I do, and a larger one for a Windows update process. It takes some time to do a Bios update and you may see a progress page when it is happening.

Does new update show in the Properties firmware page of your original attachment?

Yes, it says 410 is the latest bios version for my laptop but currently my laptop's version is 408.

Also, for updating using EZ flash, is there a specific type of USB I need? By the way, when I tried to update I did it using BIOS update for windows, not with EZ flash since I'm not sure if I have the type of usb which is need

ASUS suggested the same thing... that I should update my BIOS, but the thing is that I already tried it twice with the bios update for windows and both times the update seemed to work but then my bios version was showing as the same one. I have asked them about this now but still waiting for their reply.

I can try to use EZ flash now but I'm not sure if a specific type of USB is required?

(I don't have latest BIOS version for my laptop by the way, since it's ASUS' own app which is telling me their is an update available)

I would recommend keeping in touch with ASUS for this. It could be that the BIOS version you have is the latest but the app is wrongly showing you that an update is available.
