Can we use different default browser for Microsoft Teams?

OS: Windows 11

I am using Teams for organization/work. I do have my useful login/bookmarks in Edge and so I want to open links from Teams in MS Edge. The rest of the PC should use the default app as configured in the Windows OS setting. It will be very easy for us to managed saved login etc.

In short, the MS Teams desktop app should have an option/setting to set the browser for all links open from there. Without changing the default app for the rest of the windows.

Thanks.

I've tried it but it didn't help. There's a call record video file in a chat. Whenever I click it, it opens video in edge instead of default chrome. I have to copy-paste link every time instead of simply clicking and using default system browser.

I have Windows 11. I've installed all the updates.

I think it's a bug of MS teams in Windows 11. I have Windows 10 and Windows 11 on different PCs and latest MS teams. So on Windows 10 it opens links in a system browser (in my case it's Google Chrome). But on Windows 11 it always opens all the links in Edge no matter what system settings are.

Earlier today, before a computer restart, Teams was opening Excel links in my desired default browser. After this restart it suddenly and miraculously started opening links in Edge. After an hour of futility in which I attempted to follow the aforementioned steps to restore my desired browser, it's become clear to me that there will be no way to change this back to the way it was.

Microsoft will never fix this because they have every incentive to deny user choice and to force their clients to use their subpar web browser. It seems obvious to me, that behind the curtain of smiles and friendly "customer support experts," there is a deliberate effort at Microsoft to make sure that people use Edge no matter their choice in the matter. To Microsoft, this is not a bug or something that needs fixing, it's a feature that was deliberately rolled out, and it seems that it was rolled out over time so as to prevent people from noticing as quickly.
