Thanks, It's working. Rest other are explaining how to set the default browser for windows but this was not the ask of this thread.
Can we use different default browser for Microsoft Teams?
OS: Windows 11
I am using Teams for organization/work. I do have my useful login/bookmarks in Edge and so I want to open links from Teams in MS Edge. The rest of the PC should use the default app as configured in the Windows OS setting. It will be very easy for us to managed saved login etc.
In short, the MS Teams desktop app should have an option/setting to set the browser for all links open from there. Without changing the default app for the rest of the windows.
Thanks.

2024-02-17T16:36:25+00:00 Finally! OMG, Microsoft is so annoying in pushing their edge browser and not letting to choose any other option. Thanks!
Microsoft, if a user has chosen different browser then your damn edge, why would they change their mind to use edge all of a sudden?

2024-02-27T03:00:14+00:00 Got a new PC. The previous PC (Win10) also offered the old TEAMS as alternative to the New version. I usually run into problems with the new version and switched back to the old one. Now with the new PC (Win11) I see no way to fall back to old Teams. In my old PC I had set the Default Browser to Chrome -- in Windows as well as in TEAMS.
My new TEAMS is: https://answers-afd.microsoft.com/static/images/image-not-found.jpg "Microsoft Teams version 24004.1307.2669.7070.You've got the latest version. It was last updated on 2/27/2024. "
This version does not offer the "Links open preference" as shown in message above.
So, all links in TEAMS tried to open in Edge, and not in my Windows Default Browser Chrome.Solution:
Same happened, when opening a link from Outlook mail to a URL that needs login (I prepared in Chrome, but not in Edge).
However, this time a question popped up in Edge, whether I want to continue with Edge or with Windows Default Browser.
I selected Default Browser and now links do open in Chrome.
And now: url-Links in Teams do also open in Chrome.
I started this message as a question for help and accidently found the solution. For me.
Try it!

2024-04-05T22:23:17+00:00 I've set it to Edge because it seemed there would be benefits. It's become a hassle. I've spent 15 minutes reading through this forum, and there is still no way to change it back to chrome.
This feels brain rattling after spending 15minutes and still not be able to just toggle "open in default browser".
I want links to open in Chrome.
All the steps here aren't showing for a way to do that, as it appears, on my Windows 11.
Any suggestions?
