Same for me. Purchased Microsoft Office 2019 and have used Outlook versions since 2005. No issues until my service provider partnered with Gmail in 2020. I migrated per their instructions and it worked as expected in Outlook 2019 until May 2022, getting this error as well: "The browser you're using doesn't support JavaScript or has JavaScript turned off" - BS because the browser does support java and it's NOT turned off.

Part 2: "To keep your google account secure try signing in on a browser that has java script turned on "

And, yes, of course, if I sign into the account on Gmail it works fine BUT WILL NOT work on Microsoft Outlook 2019.

Switch to Windows Mail that comes with Windows 10 and it works fine... but I don't want to use Windows Mail.

    Switch to Microsoft 365 - doesn't work

Please try the workaround guidance in this Outlook Known Issue article, Error 'This web browser does not support JavaScript or scripts are being blocked' when adding a Google Workspace account (microsoft.com).

    This worked!! Thank you!!

Regarding the JavaScript error while trying to login to Outlook. It is occurring due to conflicting accounts. Please follow the steps once you have hold of the personal account's password.

    1. Change the user's email from ******@yourdomain.com to ******@yourdomain.com in the console admin.google.com
    2. Open a new incognito window and go to accounts.google.com or Gmail.com and sign in using ******@yourdomain.com (it is user NOT user1)
    3. Sometimes the password won't work, this is because it was a consumer account which got merged with a workspace account. The password can be reset.
    4. Once you acquire the password, Click continue in the next step and this is to release the account. In rare cases it'll ask to create a new account, please create a new account to release the conflicting account.
    5. Make sure the account which you're logged in ends with @gmail.com after refreshing the tab.
    6. Go back to admin.google.com and change ******@yourdomain.com back to ******@yourdomain.com and click save.
    7. Login to Outlook and enter the Workspace password.

Though I solved the problem I had to add the gmail account (as I have in years past) as a generic imap account. Though when I first installed Outlook and it ran the accounts wizard, Google mail was a choice (as described the link you provided) it does not appear if you want to add an account to a list of existing accounts in Outlook.

For that you just have to set up 2 factor authentication in Gmail to open up the ability to add an App password. Add the gmail account in Outlook using the imap choice. You'll see the Google authentication box (one time) where you put in the gmail password (what you'd use at gmail.com to see your mail) and get prompted for the 2nd authentication. Do that and the account will be installed. The next time you restart Outlook you'll get an incorrect password for that account. This time add the App password you created, different from your gmail login password, and you'll be troubled no further.

    Hope it helps.
