I've run into this with a few of my clients. You can download the Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook to fix the issue.

    MichaelVorst,

    THANK YOU!!! It worked!!

I do wonder why this problem started in the first place. Did something change the Value Data...or did some update to Outlook make it no longer work with what had been there....and hoping the issue does not come back.

Thank you for your super clear and easy to follow directions. So glad to have that nuisance resolved.

    Christa

I have similar problem. I have Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Home and Business 16 (all fully updated). Yesterday evening 8/15/22 Outlook asked me to sign back into Google to fetch my email.

    I enter my email address.

    I select Organizational Account.

Then I get the message "the browser you are using doesn't support JavaScript, or has JavaScript turned off. Too keep your account secure, try signing in on a browser that has JavaScript turned on" Learn More....."

I click on "Learn More" and an unhelpful info page would open in Internet Explorer.

My Default Browser is Chrome. And JavaScript is enabled.

I reset everything rebooted my computer...same thing. I Uninstalled Internet Explorer and now I don't get the unhelpful "Learn More" page.

I tried making Microsoft Edge my default browser and confirmed JavaScript was on. Same thing...

Rebooted every time I made a change.

The other email that is I have on Outlook is a Microsoft 365 account my work gave me and it is working fine.

I, of course can work around by keeping by browser open to my Gmail account...but not ideal.

    Thanks!

By any chance are you using an HP computer or laptop? Since I only have this problem on my HP laptop and not my Asus, I’m wondering if this is the issue. Also, on this laptop only, Outlook keeps dropping my iCloud add in and won’t let me get it back without tech support.

The work around editing the registry file worked as far as setting up the gmail in outlook but I ended up having sync issues that I cannot resolve. I've given up for now and am just using my gmail via the browser but to say I'm frustrated is an understatement. I do like outlook but this glitch is a major headache.
