Document's format changes when working on the same document on different computers

We are using Publisher 2010 on the computers in our office but when opening the same document on different computers the formatting is different, specifically the spacing between lines.  Which means you cannot share the document between these two computers.  When the text on the 2nd computer is highlighted it shows a space above the text as if it were a much large font size.  This is only true for one of the computers.  Others work just fine.  What's wrong with the one that doesn't display correctly?

Check to make sure that the odd computer is not running Pub 2007. MS changed the default paragraph settings in Pub 2010.

Are you just opening the file to see the difference, or copy and pasting into a different publication?

We have Windows 7 running on both computers, have MS Publisher 2010 running on both computers, and still are having the same issues which makes the two computers, our two primary computers, incapable of working on the same document.  Very frustrating...

    MWG1,

Have you tried to install the fonts from Windows 7 on your Windows 8 machines?

    DavidF,

I'm having no problems at all since installing the fonts from Windows 7.  (That is with the same files being shared on Skydrive on all of our Windows 7 and 8 machines).

I also don't find the text to be 'blurred' in Windows 8 or in internet explorer.

In a moment of inspiration!  I just copied the Arial fonts from Windows 7 to my Windows 8 folder.

Et voila!  It had to be something so very easy!!!  1 file is OK, will check some more before I get too excited!  God know why Windows changed the font size for Windows 8?!?! :-)

    Any more test results?

I have read a lot of threads about a new font rendering engine in Win8 and this new API not having 'Clear Type' implemented, which results in blurry text especially in IE10 on Win8. The issue we are having with Publisher may also be tied to the new font rendering engine.

If you want to read more about the 'blurry text' in Win8, here is a link to a post with a long list of posts and threads discussing the issue:
