Document's format changes when working on the same document on different computers

We are using Publisher 2010 on the computers in our office but when opening the same document on different computers the formatting is different, specifically the spacing between lines.  Which means you cannot share the document between these two computers.  When the text on the 2nd computer is highlighted it shows a space above the text as if it were a much large font size.  This is only true for one of the computers.  Others work just fine.  What's wrong with the one that doesn't display correctly?

Check to make sure that the odd computer is not running Pub 2007. MS changed the default paragraph settings in Pub 2010.

Are you just opening the file to see the difference, or copy and pasting into a different publication?

Unfortunately not anything other than replacing the fonts  in Windows 8 (or now Windows 10!) with the Windows 7 versions.

I also now run 2 laptops (running Win 10, but with different fonts) so I can gradually rewrite all the 1000s of files!  I'm sure Microsoft should be picking up the tab...

I don't think there is a solution to this.  With my two computers now running Windows 10, I've accepted the situation and have edited my Publisher documents to fit the new layout.  All my documents now are created on a Windows 10 machine so as long as I don't go back to running Publisher on Windows 7 or lower, I'll be fine.  But it's such a terrible mess effecting Publisher users worldwide it's crazy that Microsoft never addressed it.

    Hi ClassACT09.

Just to correct an error in what I said, the PDF files are not affected, it's only the Publisher PUB files which is bad enough!  I had a video of it to highlight the issue, it is located here:
