Same issue, don't like that formula language is tied to country defined on personal address country. This mixed language user interface is very confusing, and makes no sense. Please foresee possibility to have everything working in English for people living outside of of the US.

So I canged my profile country to the UK, but formulas stay in Dutch. I also changed language of browser (Chrome) to English and changed Excel online language to English, but still formulas stay in Dutch. My Windows OS is also in English...even my Ip-adress is UK (when at work)...still formulas in Dutch!

Why isn't it working, when for some people this does seem to work. What am I missing?

UPDATE: Ok, I got it to work by changing account settings instead of profile settings. Go to account settings when in Outlook.com >> Your info >> Personal Information and change country there. Log out and log in again and it should work. I kept billing info country to The Netherlands and so far that works. I also changed profile country back to NL and formulas stay in English.

I'm using windows 8. I installed windows 8 in english. I also tried your suggestions and used the app in both chrome and ie. I also searched for a language option in both skydrive and my live account settings. Unfortunately issue still persists. All the interface in english except the formula names. They show up in turkish.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community.

I have couple of questions for you:

Does the issue occurs with other web apps as well?

How are you logging into web app, is it through skydive desktop application?

What happens if you upload a file to SkyDrive which was created using Excel?

What happens if you login with different Windows live id  to SkyDrive on same computer?

Provide more information on the same, so that we could assist you better.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thanks for the question! We can help you with this issue, but I’m going to need a little more information first.

Which browser is in use while accessing Excel Web apps?

Were the Excel functions in English language prior to the issue?

    If you are using Internet explorer then try to reset and check if it helps;

Also check if the issue persists when you use a diffrent browser.

Check regional and language settings are set correctly.
