    Hi David,

I've been following this thread since 2012 when I first looked into starting to use MS office online, my primary tool being excel in my daily usage. I understood that there was this limitation with MS office online so I decided to wait with using office online until this was fixed. (I used a different online spreadsheet vendor in the meanwhile)

A few months ago I decided to get MS office online 365 and all that comes with it. Since MS Excel is the best.

To my surprise I saw that this still hadn't been fixed even after several years. My stand alone excel client installed on my computer can show me English formulas no problem. I've used English formulas in excel my entire life! (Swedish is my native language and my location).

I guess I will have to change my location since I am now using office 365 and don't want to change back to the previous platform I used. (Or only create / edit formulas offline and upload to onedrive after they are done) But sometimes I really wanna change stuff directly in the cloud, when I don't have a client with excel installed with me.

    Happy easter

    Over n out

If you haven't already, please add your votes to the uservoice work item and add your comments therehttps://excel.uservoice.com/forums/274580-excel-online/suggestions/9860988-allow-me-to-change-regional-settings-date-format

Looks like it is the #4 ranked item right now.  15 more votes would push it to #2.  It was updated today from "Under Review" to "Planned", with a comment that more votes will influence the priority.  Your vote matters.  The product managers read the suggestions and comments there, and may not read this forum post.  I want to make sure your voice is heard by the people who have the ability to respond.

Thank you for posting and voting.

This is simply absurd. I live in the Czech Republic, but am American and speak English. Why should I have to change my location, which will impact time, date, and other info? This is sadly typical of Microsoft's shortsighted attention to detail.

    Same surprise was here.

Opened Excel Online and all formulas became in DUTCH while the all the menus are in English.

    WHY? WHYYYY?

Please MS, hire already someone who will actually speak to users before developing ridiculous stuff..

Do you really think someone is going to learn now formulas in different languages?!

I changed the country to UK but that didn't help.

    What else can be done?

    Thanks
