I am trying to delete a file but Word (android GalaxyNote5) is saying I do not have permission to delete

Go to your app tap and hold to go to app settings, go to storage and clear app data. Done. :)
Word files in data user 0 can be deleted by clearing the app data of Microsoft word.
Go to the app icon tap and hold the icon. Go to app settings and storage. Then clear app data. This will delete all the files in the recent documents list on your phone. But will keep all your files on the cloud.
Typically files in the user data 0 location of Microsoft word can be deleted by deleting the app data or clearing the app cache.
