I had the exact same problem with a client's computer. Through a process of elimination, I found that Malwarebytes caused the issue. As soon as I disabled it, I could save files to any drive letter.
Exception Unknown Software Exception (0xe0000002)
When attempting to save in any Office application (Word and Excel being the 2 I use). I have tried to fix the issue using the automated fixes, both the 'quick fix' and 'use the internet' fix. Neither have worked. Every time I try to save a document, the program crashes and I get the above error. How can I fix this?

2017-05-18T14:05:27+00:00 Hi Darleen
Thank you for your timely reply! I have done a Quick Repair (twice), followed by a Full Re-install, and checked for upgrades after the reinstall. I have also tried taking out the Adobe (for PDFMaker) and Kaspersky add-ins, as well as checking for an update to my Adobe Acrobat to see if that might have been the issue - did a "repair" on Adobe Acrobat as well, although I'm not certain it was needed. The reason I concentrated on Adobe at first was because I was trying to "Save As" a PDF. After I took out the Plug-Ins and upgraded, etc., I tried just doing a Save As another DOCX file and (without plug-ins), it crashed. Word is crashing during other functions, but not as much. Outlook is crashing more than it did after the new Windows 10 update. Excel crashed once but has seemed to be fairly stable since the reinstall.
I have also run the Office Configuration Analyzer Tool, which is what made me take out all the plug-ins (which I admit taking out the Kaspersky anti-virus and anti-spam plug-ins in Outlook is troubling). Oddly enough, it was Outlook and PowerPoint that showed issues and no issues in Word or Excel. There was another tool I downloaded, but it said it did not support my domain and couldn't be used.
I appreciate your reply and if you have any further advice, I would be very grateful.
Have a great day
Tami

To create a Test User Profile, follow these steps:
- On Search, type Settings then hit the Enter key.
- On Settings window, select Accounts.
- Select Family & other people.
- Select Add someone else to this PC.
- Name the User Profile as TEST.
- Assign a password for TEST user, then select Next.
- Sign in TEST user.
We hope to hear from you soon.

2017-05-23T09:43:26+00:00 Hi,
The User Profile settings in W10 won't let me do that, they require an email address or phone number.
