Excel new Data Types not showing

Hi All,

Hopefully, I will get some help. After numerous attempts at contacting Office 365 pro team, raising help desk etc... I still did not get any answer to my problem and keep on being redirected to other services who act like they're playing hot potato game with me.

I have an Office 365 Proplus license. I'm on the monthly targeted channel. I updated to the latest version, made sure I was logged in on my pro account.

My version is 1812 (Build 11126.20132).

I got a notification from Microsoft saying the new data types should be available on my version. However it's nowhere to be found. (https://excel.uservoice.com/forums/304921-excel-for-windows-desktop-application/suggestions/32223604-pull-current-stock-prices-and-historical-data-into?tracking\_code=8f4c542ff27c213575a6b3d8f949d5e2)

A few months ago, I logged in from a different country and could use the feature, the moment I got back to Hong Kong it was gone again.

Any idea or contact I can reach out to? This is getting exhausting and I am really disappointed with that level of service considering I'm paying premium price for it.

    Hi Cliff,

I did that but still not seeing anything. I'm connected to my OneDrive account as previous user stated as well.

    THanks

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for your updates.

Please first upload a full screenshot of the Account page in the current Excel 2016 application you are using for our clarification. You can access the page via File>Account.

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

As I can’t reproduce the issue in my environment, I’d like you to confirm whether the issue happens in other users in your company and how you download the Office 2016 applications.

Meanwhile, I suggest you try navigating to Control Panel>User Accounts>Manage Windows Credentials under Credential Manager>removing all MicrosoftOffice,16_Data:ADAL:xxx>restarting the computer and do a test to see and let us know the result.

    Thanks,

    Cliff

    Hi Cliff,

Sorry for the late reply, been busy and forgot to follow up on that. This is my account details. I followed your steps, and also updated to the latest version. And nothing is showing. Note that both my personal and pro account are linked. I personally bought the pro version and am the only user.

I added my Data tab as well for reference.

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for your updates.

As I can’t reproduce the issue in the version of the Excel 2016 application you are using, I’d like you to use the easy fix tool in the articleto uninstall the current version of the Office 2016 applications and re-install them from the Office 365 portal to see the result.

    Thanks,

    Cliff
