I've created a custom report and my fields (Patron ID, Title, First Name, Last Name, and Phone) are only visible in Design View. What Is the reason? My combo box, title and subform are all visible in each View.

What changed? We don't know whether there's new data that no longer meets a filter criteria, or what changes might have been made to the forms.

And again, for clarity, the screen shot show FORMS, not REPORTS. You can use the form for reporting purposes, but they are different objects with different properties and events.

That doesn't deal with my answer. I figured the Recordsource is tblPatron. But it should NOT be. It should be, as I specified, a query that joins tblPatron with the donations table.

As I said, I suspect the problem is the link between the main report and the sub report. But there is no reason to use a subreport here. While sub reports have a place, generally grouping in a report can do a better job.

I apparently didn't look closely at the screen shots. George is correct you are displaying a FORM, not a report. Please clarify are you trying to do a form or report? The solution is different dependet on the answer.

Just changed the title of the post. The instructions say to add a subform and to make sure the form's Record Source Property is set to tblPatron. The picture of the form in my book looks a lot like my screen.

I'm not supposed to use Form Wizard. The book gives instructions on how to create a custom form using Blank Form (If that helps).

Ahh so you are learning. It would have helped if you made that clear. Are you just following a book or is the book a text for the course. In my opinion, while I can understand wanting you to understand how forms are created, it is short-sighted not to allow you to use the wizards. I taught an Access course for a local Univ and I showed both methods.

OK, so you are making a form. In that case, yes, the main from should be bound to tblPatron and the subform to the Donations table. But how are they linked? Are they linked on PatronID?
