Subject: Request to reset Developer Program eligibility for my phone number

Hello, I need assistance with my Microsoft 365 Developer Program enrollment.

I attempted to join the Microsoft 365 Developer Program using multiple Microsoft accounts, all with the same phone number. Now, whenever I enroll, I immediately receive the message: “You don’t currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.”

I have already deleted my Developer Program profile and recreated it, but the eligibility status does not reset. It appears that my phone number is stuck in a “not qualified” state.

Could you please reset the backend eligibility flag associated with my phone number so I can enroll properly?

I would like my Microsoft 365 Developer Program membership to be associated with this account: Email: <PII: Moderator removed>

Thank you for your help.

    Dear @Karl Wickham,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

Based on your description, I have tried my best to research and find this information that may be related to your situation (you can check the Q&A Assist as well):

! Note Phone numbers and email accounts with the *. onmicrosoft.com domain are not supported. If you sign in with a phone number or *. onmicrosoft.com account, you'll get an error and will need to sign in with a different account. How many Microsoft 365 Developer Program accounts can I create? You can only have one Microsoft 365 Developer Program account associated with your phone number. If you need to set up a new Developer Program account, for example to use a different email account or account type, you must delete your existing account first. To delete your account, sign in to your dashboard and choose Delete Profile. Note that if you delete your Developer Program account, you can only get a subscription after you have had your existing subscription for more than 60 days.

Please note that even after deleting the old profile, there is typically a 60‑day waiting period before the original phone number becomes fully available for a new subscription. This is part of the program’s policy to prevent abuse.

As Microsoft Q&A Forum moderators, we don’t have the permissions to reset or modify Developer Program profiles on behalf of users. If you’ve confirmed that your phone number meets the 60‑day waiting‑period requirement for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, but you still encounter the same error, you’ll need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance. Only they can help you in this case.

Unfortunately, I cannot assist with resetting the eligibility flag for your Microsoft 365 Developer Program enrollment. If you are experiencing issues with your phone number being stuck in a "not qualified" state, I recommend reaching out directly to Microsoft support for assistance with your account. They will have the necessary tools to help resolve your eligibility status.
