    Hi Tank G,

Thank you for reaching out and for providing the detailed error information. I understand how disruptive it can be when apps won’t download from the Microsoft Store, especially when you’re trying to reinstall the Xbox app.

The error code 0x8007052e typically points to a sign‑in or app registration issue on the device. This can occur if the Microsoft Store or its related components didn’t complete a previous process correctly.

Here are some recommended solutions that you can try, please follow the steps below in order:

1, Reset the Microsoft Store cache

    • Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe and press Enter
    • The Store will reopen automatically once complete

2, Sign out and sign back into Microsoft Store

    • Open Microsoft Store
    • Select your profile icon (top‑right) > Sign out
    • Close the Store, reopen it, and sign in again

3, Repair or reset Microsoft Store

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    • Find Microsoft Store > Advanced options
    • Select Repair
    • If needed, select Reset, then restart your PC

4, Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter

    • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot
    • Select Other troubleshooters
    • Run Windows Store Apps

5, Reinstall Microsoft Store (advanced option)

    • Open Windows Terminal / PowerShell as Administrator
    • Run the following command:
    Get-AppxPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers |
    Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    • Restart the device afterward.
    • Once the Microsoft Store is working normally, you should be able to download the Xbox app again without issues.

Follow these steps in order to resolve Xbox app install issues and generic Microsoft Store errors like 0x8007052e on Windows 11:

    1. Restart the PC
    • If Windows or app updates were recently installed, restart the device at least once before trying again. A pending restart can block Store app installs.
    1. Reset the Microsoft Store cache
    1. Press Windows key + R.
    2. Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
    3. A blank Command Prompt window opens, then closes after a few seconds, and Microsoft Store will open automatically.
    4. Try installing the Xbox app again from Microsoft Store.
    1. Make sure Windows and Microsoft Store are updated
    1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart if required.
    2. Open Microsoft Store.
    3. Select See more (⋯) > Downloads and updates > Get updates to update Microsoft Store and other Store apps.
    1. Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter
    1. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    2. Select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.
    3. Apply any fixes it suggests, then retry installing the Xbox app.
    1. Reinstall the Xbox app from Microsoft Store
    1. Open Microsoft Store.
    2. Select See more > My Library.
    3. Locate Xbox in the list and select Install.
    1. Check device compatibility and account
    • Confirm the Xbox app is available for the region and device in Microsoft Store.
    • Ensure sign-in is done with a Microsoft account that is authorized to use Microsoft Store apps on this PC.

If the problem persists after these steps, repeat a restart and try the troubleshooter again before contacting Microsoft support.
