I have a paid subscription for Microsoft Solitaire Collection. It just renewed on 3/9/26.

Starting yesterday, 3/20/26 I started to see adds. I have tried everything the trouble shooting told me to do. Including uninstalling and reinstalling the app twice. I am still seeing adds.

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

That’s definitely frustrating, especially since you’re paying specifically to remove ads in Microsoft solitaire collection.

This is a quick check (follow steps below)

    • Force Sync Microsoft store
    • Open Microsoft Store
    • Click your profile → Settings
    • Click:
      • Sync licenses

Once done with force sync you can go ahead and check the game again and let me know what's the result.

Ads appearing after renewal usually mean the subscription status is not being recognized correctly by the app or by the account it is signed in with.

    Take these steps in order:

    1. Confirm the subscription is active
      1. Go to the Microsoft account Services/Subscriptions area and sign in with the same account used to buy the Solitaire Collection premium subscription.
      2. Verify the game subscription shows as active and that the renewal on 3/9/26 succeeded.
      3. If the subscription does not show as active, or the renewal failed, follow the billing troubleshooting for renewals and payments.
    2. Check for duplicate or wrong-account subscriptions
      1. If there are multiple Microsoft accounts (for example, one with Outlook and one with another email), verify which one actually has the active Solitaire subscription.
      2. Make sure the Solitaire app on the device is signed into the same Microsoft account that shows the active subscription.
    3. If renewal is active but ads remain
      1. Fully close the Solitaire app.
      2. Sign out of the Microsoft account in the app or in the Microsoft Store, then sign back in with the account that has the active subscription.
      3. Launch the app again and check whether ads are removed.
    4. If the subscription is active and the correct account is in use but ads still show
      1. This is similar to the case where a Microsoft 365 subscription is renewed but the apps do not behave as subscribed.
      2. At this point, direct support is required to check the subscription and entitlement on the backend.
      3. Contact Microsoft Support for subscription/billing help and provide the renewal date, the account used, and that ads are still appearing despite an active premium subscription.

For any billing or renewal issues (for example, if the renewal did not complete correctly, or there are multiple charges), support can also verify and correct the subscription status.
