I want to install Office 2024. I got a product key and have downloaded successfully. I can't get the installer to install Office 2024. It keeps trying to steer me to Office 365. I don't want a cloud based Office. I just want it on my laptop, and save to my laptop

1. Confirm the correct type of license
   • Office "Home & Student 2024" or "Office 2024" one‑time purchase is tied to a Microsoft account.
   • Volume/"Plus" editions like Office Professional Plus 2024 or LTSC Professional Plus 2024 are volume licenses meant for organizations, not individuals. If the product name includes “Plus” or “LTSC” and was bought from a third party, it is likely a volume license and may not install/activate as a consumer product.
2. Make sure the product key is redeemed correctly (home/consumer versions)
   • Go to https://setup.office.com.
   • Sign in with the Microsoft account that will own Office 2024.
   • Redeem the product key if not already redeemed.
   • When redemption is complete, the product is linked to that account.
3. Install from the Microsoft account (not from generic 365 links)
   • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services.
   • Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to redeem or purchase Office 2024.
