Just to understand better, when you say the sound bar is moving left or right, does it happen on its own without you touching anything? Also, are you using a laptop keyboard, external keyboard, or any headset connected?

Have you tried restarting the laptop? If not, please give that a try.

Also, go to Settings > System > Sound > Advanced > All sound devices, select your device, and turn off Audio Enhancements.

Let me know how it goes.

The moving sound bar means Windows is detecting audio, but the output is likely muted, disabled, or going to the wrong device. On Windows 11, try these steps:

    1. Check volume and mute
      1. Select and hold (or right-click) the Speakers icon on the taskbar.
      2. Move the volume slider up and make sure there is no x (mute icon) on the slider.
      3. Select the arrow to the right of the volume slider (tooltip: Select a sound output) and choose the correct speakers/headphones.
    2. Check Volume mixer
      1. Right-click the Speakers icon again.
      2. Open the Volume mixer (or select the settings icon next to the slider – tooltip: More mixer settings).
      3. Make sure none of the device or app sliders show an x (muted). If they do, click them or move the slider up to unmute.
    3. Make sure the device is enabled
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      2. Under Advanced, select More sound settings.
      3. On the Playback tab, select the speakers/headphones in use and choose Properties.
      4. Next to Device usage, make sure Use this device (enable) is selected.

If sound still does not come out even though the bar moves, update or reinstall the audio driver:

    1. Open Device Manager (search for device manager from Start).
    2. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
    3. Right-click the audio device, choose Update driver, and follow the prompts.
    4. If that does not help, download and install the latest audio driver from the PC or motherboard manufacturer.

If the problem started after a Windows Update and sound worked before, try rolling back the audio driver from the device Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver and follow the instructions.
