To request a refund for a recent Game Pass charge, follow these steps:
- Go to the Microsoft account Services page and sign in with the account that was charged: https://account.microsoft.com/services (from the Q&A references).
- Under Services & subscriptions, find the Game Pass subscription that was just billed.
- Select Manage, then choose Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing so it does not charge again.
- After canceling, request a refund:
- Go to the Xbox support page Request a refund for digital games: https://support.xbox.com/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account.
- Select the recent Game Pass charge, choose Request a refund, provide the reason, and submit the form.
Refund requests are typically reviewed within about 72 hours. If approved, refunds are usually processed back to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
If the online refund option is not available in the region, contact Microsoft Store or Sales support using the contact options shown in the refund/help pages.
