I have unsubscribed from Microsoft 365 Basic because I thought I have been charged incorrectly but I subscribed again yesterday and it seems that it did not work. Although I want to carry on paying annually for Microsoft 365 Basic as I have a large amount of emails I tried to delete manually the emails located on my deleted inbox on my phone, and it seems that it have deleted all my emails from my inbox as well. It is extremelly important that I have my emails back (including the emails I haven't received as of yesterday and today) since the time I unsubscribed. Please let me know what to do asap. Thank you and I'll be looking forward to hearing from you.

Subscription and billing changes do not permanently delete Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 email content by themselves. The context provided only covers how to manage and cancel Microsoft 365 subscriptions and how cancellation affects storage; it does not include supported steps for restoring deleted email or recovering messages after cancellation.

The only supported, documented actions in the context for this scenario are:

    1. Verify and manage the Microsoft 365 subscription status
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used for Microsoft 365 Basic.
      • Confirm that the Microsoft 365 Basic subscription is active and not cancelled.
    2. Be aware of storage and service impact when cancelling
      • When a Microsoft 365 Basic subscription is cancelled, the storage allowance reverts to 5 GB of cloud storage (shared by OneDrive and Outlook.com attachments) and 15 GB of Outlook.com storage.
      • If usage exceeds the free allowance after cancellation:
        • Uploading, editing, or syncing new files to OneDrive is blocked.
        • Sending or receiving email in Outlook.com is blocked.
        • After 12 months, OneDrive and all files in it may be deleted.
    3. If the issue is tied to subscription/refund or account status
      • To check refund eligibility or manage cancellation/renewal, follow the documented steps to cancel or manage Microsoft 365 and then use the refund/self-help tools if applicable.
      • If the subscription was purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, cancellation and refund must be handled with those stores’ support.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support for account-specific help
      • For issues involving unrecognized charges, subscription status, or refund eligibility, use the Microsoft Support “Get Help” and “Contact Support” flows described in the context to reach a support agent who can access the account and investigate.

The context does not provide supported, step-by-step procedures for restoring deleted emails or recovering messages after manual deletion or subscription changes, so no additional recovery guidance can be given beyond verifying subscription status and contacting Microsoft Support.
