Windows 11 apparently updated my computer overnight so when I turned on my computer, it asked me questions, yes or no. Apparently i mistakenly clicked on "yes" when it asked me if i wanted to start a microsoft 365 subscription! I immediately canceled my subscription as I was charged $129.99. The prompt said that I would get $68.xx back as a refund! Can I please get all my money back? Money is tight these days and I would never purchase software that costly.

A full refund for a Microsoft 365 subscription depends on eligibility rules; canceling does not always result in a complete refund.

For Microsoft 365 subscriptions purchased from Microsoft:

    1. A subscription must be canceled first before refund eligibility can be checked.
    2. Not all cancellations result in a full refund; some are prorated or may not be refundable depending on timing and local law.
    3. In some countries/regions, prorated refunds are available for certain subscription lengths. Details are in the cancellation and refund policies.

    Next steps:

    1. Confirm the subscription and refund status:
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used when the charge occurred.
      • Locate the Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.
      • Verify that it shows as canceled and review any refund or end-date information.
    2. Use the official refund flow for Microsoft 365:
      • Follow the guidance under Microsoft 365 → Get help refunding your Microsoft 365 subscription and use the self-help tool: Start.
      • This tool guides through the correct steps and shows whether the order is eligible for additional refund beyond what was already issued.
    3. If the self-help tool does not provide the desired outcome, contact Support:
      • Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
      • Enter the billing/refund issue, select Get Help, then choose Contact Support to reach a support agent who can review the specific transaction and clarify whether a full refund is possible under the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale and local regulations.

Because refund amounts are determined by policy, purchase date, and region, only account-specific support can confirm whether the remaining amount can be refunded.
