Minecraft java and bedrock but only bedrock

Question

I have Minecraft java AND bedrock edition but cant play?

it says BUY NOW which i am not going to because i ALREADY PAID FOR IT

PLEASEE someone give me an explanation

This usually means the Microsoft account used in the Store is different from the one signed into the Minecraft Launcher, or that only one edition is actually licensed on the current account.

To resolve this, use these steps:

1. Verify the correct Microsoft account in Microsoft Store
   • Open Microsoft Store.
   • Select your profile icon and confirm which Microsoft account is signed in.
   • Ensure this is the same account that shows “Owned” for Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC.
2. Sign out and back in with the same account in the Minecraft Launcher
   • Open the Minecraft Launcher.
   • Go to Settings → Accounts (or click your profile in the top-right).
   • Sign out of the current account.
   • Sign back in using the exact same Microsoft account that owns Minecraft in the Store.
3. Launch from the Store entry
   • In Microsoft Store, on the Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC page that shows “Owned,” click Install or Play from there.
   • This should open the Launcher already linked to the owning account and unlock full play instead of demo.
4. Check edition selection in the Launcher
   • In the Launcher, confirm the correct edition tab is selected (Java or Bedrock).
   • For Java, ensure the “Play” button (not “Play Demo”) appears once the correct account is recognized.
