    Hi, good day!

    • When was the last time it worked properly?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer recently?

Here are some of the steps you can try.

    • Please try changing your Region to United States if it helps.
    • Please try signing out your Microsoft Account from the Microsoft Store then sign-in again
    • Check the Microsoft Store Install Service

Press the Windows Key + S and type in services.msc.

Find the Microsoft Store Install Service and double click, If the status is Running, right click it then select Restart

If disabled, change it to Automatic, click Start and click OK.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below instead of Yes or No button.

Follow these steps in order; test Widgets and Microsoft Store after each major step:

    1. Reset the Microsoft Store cache
      1. Press Windows logo key + R.
      2. Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
      3. A blank Command Prompt opens; after ~10 seconds it closes and Microsoft Store should open automatically.
    2. Make sure Windows and Microsoft Store are fully updated
      1. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates. Install all available updates and restart the PC if prompted.
      2. Open Microsoft Store.
        • In Windows 11: Library > Get updates.
        • In Windows 10: See more (…) > Downloads and updates > Get updates.
    3. Repair or reset Microsoft Store
      1. Open Settings > Apps (Windows 11: Apps > Installed apps; Windows 10: Apps > Apps & features).
      2. Find Microsoft Store, select it, then choose Advanced options.
      3. Select Repair. If it still does not work, select Reset.
    4. Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter (Windows 10)
      1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
      2. Select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter and apply any fixes it suggests.
    5. Check common Store/installation blockers If apps still show “Retry” and do nothing:
      1. Confirm date, time, and region are correct in Settings > Time & language.
      2. Make sure the PC is signed in with a Microsoft account and the device is added to that account.
      3. If using any third‑party VPN or antivirus, temporarily disable/uninstall it and test again.
    6. Ensure Widgets dependencies are updated Widgets rely on the Windows Web Experience Pack and Microsoft Edge:
      1. Update the Windows Web Experience Pack via Microsoft Store (from Library > Get updates).
      2. Make sure Microsoft Edge is updated using its built‑in update settings.

If after all of these steps Microsoft Store still will not download/update apps and Widgets still only show “Retry,” collect any error codes shown in Store or Widgets and use them when contacting Microsoft Support, as they indicate more specific underlying issues.
