I need help with a refund and to stop the recurring charge that I've had since Nov. 11th, 2025. I have tried to find other ways to contact customer service and there are no other options for help with this. I have checked my account and it shows no subscriptions (expired Aug. 2020). There is nothing else on my account that would have a monthly charge. Please help me get this resolved and someone to speak to.

Follow these steps to stop the monthly charge and request a refund:

    1. Confirm where the subscription was purchased
      • If the subscription was bought through a third party (Amazon, Best Buy, Google Play, Apple App Store, etc.), Microsoft cannot cancel or refund it. In that case, contact that retailer directly for cancellation and refund. For example, for Google Play or Apple App Store purchases, use the guidance in the article for their refund processes.
      • If it was purchased directly from Microsoft, continue with the steps below.
    2. Check all possible Microsoft accounts for subscriptions
      • Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with any Microsoft account that might have been used.
      • If a subscription appears:
        • If it shows Turn on recurring billing, it is already set to expire and will not be charged again. No further action is needed for that subscription.
        • If it shows Manage, select it, then choose Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the on-screen steps to cancel. This will stop future recurring charges.
    3. If no subscription appears under the account used
      • The charges may be associated with a different Microsoft account or may have been made through a third party.
      • Use the How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft guidance (linked from several articles in the context) to identify which account or product the charge belongs to.
    4. Request a refund for the recurring charges
      • Once the subscription is located and cancelled, check refund eligibility using the How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription article.
      • Refunds are not guaranteed; eligibility depends on the subscription type, timing, and country/region. Some countries/regions support prorated refunds when cancelling at any time.
    5. If unable to find or cancel the subscription yourself
      • Use Microsoft’s guided support for subscription and billing issues:
        • From the refund or cancellation articles, follow the Contact Support or guided support links.
        • Choose the product (for example, Microsoft 365 & Office), then a billing/subscription category, and select Chat with a support agent or request a call back.
      • Provide the support agent with: the last 4 digits of the card, charge dates, amounts, and any transaction IDs so they can locate the subscription.
    6. If the charge is truly unrecognized or cannot be matched to any Microsoft account
      • Follow the How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft steps to confirm it is a Microsoft charge.
      • If it appears fraudulent or cannot be resolved with Microsoft, contact the bank or card issuer to dispute the charges and request the card be blocked and reissued to prevent further misuse.

These steps will help identify the source of the recurring charge, stop future billing, and request a refund where eligible. For a live person, use the Contact Microsoft Support or guided support options described in the referenced articles.
