I am being charged each month for a powerpoint subscription but I cannot find it on my account. It may be tied to a different account for which I no longer have an email. How can I find out how to cancel this subscription!?

Thanks! Eirik

This forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, if you are sure no-one else has access to your banking details, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that payment is for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that payment is for and get a refund.

If you are still unable to resolve that payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

Use the billing charge itself and the Microsoft account portal to track and cancel the subscription.

    1. Check who is billing the subscription
      • On the bank/credit card statement, confirm the charge is from Microsoft.
      • If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, it must be cancelled with them, not Microsoft. For those cases, see:
    2. Check all possible Microsoft accounts
      • Go to Subscriptions and sign in with each Microsoft account that might have been used (personal email addresses, older addresses, etc.).
      • Under Services & subscriptions, look for any Microsoft 365/Office/PowerPoint-related subscription.
      • If found, select Manage and then Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the prompts.
    3. If the subscription is not visible or the account is inaccessible
      • If the subscription is tied to an account that cannot be accessed anymore and recovery is not possible, cancellation directly with Microsoft will be difficult because of account security.
      • In that case, contact the bank or card issuer and request that they block or dispute the recurring Microsoft charge so future payments are stopped.
    4. If you still cannot cancel online
      • If you do not see an option to cancel or turn off recurring billing on any account, follow the troubleshooting guidance in Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription:
        • Confirm again who you bought it from (Microsoft vs. third-party retailer or app store).
        • Make sure the correct Microsoft personal account is being used when signing in.
        • If the subscription shows Turn on recurring billing, it is already set to expire and no further charges will occur.

If the duplicate or unknown charge is located in one of the accounts, eligibility for a refund can then be checked using the refund guidance in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
