I'm new in Azure and I'm testing Azure AD with free account but I don't have field to make my group assignable to role.

    Hi @Lucas B ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand that you are facing issue to assign role to the group while creation, as below field is not visible to you in your Azure AD portal.

This is because you don't have permission to assign roles to the group while creating the group.

You need the have below permissions to make the switch "Azure AD roles can be assigned to the group" visible

    1. Privileged Role Administrators and
    2. Global Administrators

Then you will be able to ON the switch to assign roles to the group directly.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks,
    Shweta

You must also have ENTRA ID (Azure Active Directory) P1 or P2 in place.
If you don't have it then add the P2 Trial.
