[This article is prerelease documentation and is subject to change.]

Important

This is a preview feature.

  • Microsoft releases preview features before an official release so that customers can get early access and provide feedback.
  • Preview features have restricted functionality and aren't meant for production use.
  • Microsoft might change preview MCP tool names and parameters. Avoid hard-coded dependencies. Microsoft maintains scenario support.
  • Preview features are subject to Microsoft supplemental terms of use.

Microsoft IQ provides access to organizational data through three source categories: Work IQ, Fabric IQ, and Foundry IQ. This article describes the Work IQ sources, which connect your agent to Microsoft 365 data. Work IQ routes all M365 data access through a single Agent 365 MCP gateway (the M365Copilot server at https://agent365.svc.cloud.microsoft), not through dedicated per-source MCP servers.

Work IQ sources

Mail

With Mail, your agent can access your email inbox, sent items, and folders. It can search emails, read message content, and draft responses.

Calendar

Teams

With Teams, your agent can access Teams messages, channels, and conversations. It can search chat history and reference Teams discussions.
