Developers install Guidance Packages by using the VSIX files that you supply to them. A developer can simply double-click the VSIX file, and Visual Studio will install the Guidance Package. For more information, go to https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd393694(VS.100).aspx

Note

Note: The developer needs to install GAX 2010 before installing Guidance Packages.

After the Guidance Package is installed, it will appear in the Extension Manager in Visual Studio 2010.
