Bound recipes can be launched in the following ways:
- Right-click the appropriate solution element in the Solution Explorer, and then click the recipe reference from the context menu of the element.
- Open the Guidance Navigator window, click the Available Guidance tab, expand the node for the desired recipe, and then click Run this recipe.
- On the Visual Studio Task List, choose the Guidance Package name from the drop-down list, and then click the recipe reference.
- Select the appropriate recipe reference in Guidance Package Manager, and then click Execute.
Note
The Recipe Framework does not support selecting multiple bound references. As a result, if a developer selects more than one solution element and right-clicks to obtain a shortcut menu, bound recipes will not be visible on the menu, even if the recipes are bound to all the items that are selected.
Unbound recipes are launched in the following ways:
- Right-click the appropriate solution element in Solution Explorer, and then click the recipe reference from the shortcut menu of the element.
- Open the Guidance Navigator window, click the Available Guidance tab, expand the node for the desired recipe, and then click Run this recipe.
- Select the appropriate recipe reference in Guidance Package Manager, and then click Execute.
Note
If you attempt to execute an unbound recipe from the Guidance Navigator or Guidance Package Manager, it will display a Target Element Selection dialog box. You can then select the appropriate solution element and click Accept.
