The Workflow Design Surface is used to lay out and to design the workflow process. You can enhance or modify your workflow process using this Workflow Design Surface, the tools in the Workflow toolbox, and the properties in the Properties window. Drag icons from the toolbox to the design surface to create workflow states, transitions, and comments.
When you double click a state or transition, the Script Editor is displayed with the associated event script. You also can right-click and select View Code from the Context menu.
**Note **Not all objects in the workflow diagram can have script associated with them.
The Workflow Design Surface and toolbox are used to do the following:
- Adding a State
- Renaming a State
- Deleting a State
- Adding and Modifying Events for States
- Adding and Modifying Transitions in Workflow
