このクラスで定義された属性は、アセンブリに追加のバージョン情報を添付します。

AssemblyInformationalVersionAttributeがアセンブリに適用されていない場合は、属性でAssemblyVersionAttribute指定されたバージョン番号が代わりに使用されます。

任意のテキストを指定できますが、文字列がアセンブリバージョン番号で使用される形式ではない場合、またはその形式でワイルドカード文字が含まれている場合は、コンパイル時に警告メッセージが表示されます。この警告は、実行には影響を与えません。

Windows フォームアプリの場合は、プロパティを使用して、実行時にこの属性が指定する文字列をApplication.ProductVersion取得できます。この文字列は、プロパティとプロパティによって Application.UserAppDataPath 提供されるパスと Application.UserAppDataRegistry レジストリキーでも使用されます。
