After installing KB5094126 (June 9, 2026), our application's Word integration fails with a DISP_E_TYPEMISMATCH (0x80020005) / 'Type Mismatch' error during COM/OLE automation calls to Documents.Open(). Microsoft acknowledged this bug on June 16, 2026. We are requesting the enterprise workaround referenced in Microsoft's acknowledgment, and information on the fix timeline. Is there any ETA or update if Microsoft will provide a fix for this?

The fix for this should arrive with the C/D release, which happens on 4th week of the month since it is widespread.

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

No information is available in the provided context about KB5094126, a DISP_E_TYPEMISMATCH / 0x80020005 error on Documents.Open, or any enterprise workaround or ETA for a fix related to that specific update.
