I have a BSOD after last updates on Win 10 2004. BSOD is System thread exception not handled and wpprecorder.sys. It happens on few laptops and two PC with different hardware. System restore didn’t help.
System reboots after 3-5 minutes logon.
How we can resolve it?

Been following this and you guys are rocking it. I was too late and started to do a reload in with 32bit 2004 - it did not even get to finish the install before it BSOD.
Today I backloaded 32Bit 1909 and before going on-line loaded Update Manager by David Xanatos and disabled the auto updates. I searched for available updates and found that I could no longer find KB4579311 and KB4578968. These are two that last loaded on my clients system before blowing up. Can anyone else confirm that these now have been pulled? There is still a FlashPlayer update from 10/13 (KB4580325).

    Ok.
We have a number of 32 bit W10 machines as we used to have 16 bit software.

I stumbled accross the mouse periferals driver fix by accident and this method has fixed 7 pc's now.

At first we could not tell why it was that when I took the PC to my lab for testing they would be fixed within 1 restart no matter which fix I was trying to apply - It ended up being just the mouse we needed to uninstall / reinstall to get a mcanine to go without removing .

I suspect the periferals being lower level & required hardware it gets priority/automatic/plug&play installation and this clears the updares que somehow moving the INTEL update to the optional updates area (no longer queued up to be automatically installed.

Once the INTEL driver is out of the way the systems function normally.

I did look at WuMgr - Thanks for that. Looks good. I have no faulty systems left to test removing the Pending INTEL driver update.

Could you confirm if this works for you? :) (No one else has said if it works..)

try uninstall last 3 updates first through control panel.
Uninstall the last 3 windows updates "KB4579311", "KB4578968" and "Flash player update" by navigating to Control panel>Programs and Features>View installed updates - Must be uninstalled by the old win 7 "Control Panel" method
Remove mouse driver via metro settings - Settings > Devices > select device you are removing (your mouse) > click "Remove device" button.
Re-boot (windows key and arrows if required) and plug mouse into different port.
PC should install the mouse again.
There should be no more BSOD.
The system should automatically download and install the previously uninstalled updates "KB4579311", "KB4578968" and "Flash player update".
If not you can now go into windows update to initiate the updates removed at the start. The intel update will now be in the optional updates area.

Has the same problem with a new computer, installing the last IME allow me to deactivate the Intel IME interface entry in the system section of the device manager. As soon as it is deactivate everything run fluently.

Hope there will be a fix soon from Intel or Microsoft, because i am a bit nervous to deliver those computers to my customers who needs Windows 10 32bits !

    BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT!!!

The BIOS / FIRMWARE of the sistem MUST up to date to the last version. After 2 days of failed attempts with various IME driver installation combinations, only after I updated the BIOS, the BSOD disappeared completly. There is a connection between BIOS and Intel® Management Engine.

    Steps to follow, in order:

    1. Create bootable usb stick of windows 10 32-bit installation with Media Creation Tool.
    2. Remove LAN RJ-45 connector from NIC.
    3. Install windows 10 32 bit.
    4. After installation done, update BIOS firmware (download only from vendor official webpage).
    5. Install Intel ME driver.
    6. Reboot sistem.
    7. Plug-in LAN RJ-45 connector back, to reestablish connection to internet.
    8. Feel free to make all sistem updates. No BSOD anymore!

    Best regards,

    Ovidiu ROSU
