Window System Image Backup fails error code (0x807800C5)

I am getting the following errors messages when trying to create a backup image:

There was a failure creating the backup image in one of the volumes in the backup set (0x807800C5)

Additional information:

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process (0x80070020)

I have also attached a screenshot of the error message.

I have tried running sfx /scannow and that does not fix the problem.

    I realize it's almost six months since you posted you were able to perform system image backups.  Are you still able to successfully perform system image backup?

    I've been wrestling with this issue for past several weeks.  Nothing seems to help...

    Yes, I am still able to create image backups.  I either rename any previous image that I want to retain on the target drive or remove unwanted images from all available target drives.  Hope this information will help you.

    I even tried formating the drive, still of no use
