MS Teams Desktop app does not close fully

Using Version 1.4.00.2879

All the correct settings are in place - removed the tick next to 'On close; keep the application running'

But on exit the app closes, the task bar icon remains active and processes are still listed on the Task Manager.

One thing I have noticed is that there is now a menu option in that app called 'Accounts & Orgs'
I have not logged on with any other accounts and the menu only lists the current organisation I am using.

Not sure if these are linked!

Any ideas on how to get the teams app to exit fully and close all processes?

Thanks
Derek

Having the same problem as well. This certainly cannot be an "intended feature" because Teams becomes completely unresponsive in the half-closed state. You can't send or receive or even re-open the window until you forcibly quit the app as described.

Hope a fix is forthcoming soon!

Same here. Have already clicked off setting "On close; keep the application running". Clicking the X top right to close application does not fully exit. Have to right click Teams in taskbar and choose Exit to fully close down.

Concur with previous posters. Exact same behaviour happening for me on Windows 10 Business (ver 20H2, build 19042.1237), MS Teams (1.4.00.26376).

Disabled "On close; keep the application running". Hitting Alt+F4, or the red X (top-right corner), closes the existing GUI window. The software continues to run in the background in an indeterminate state, still visible in the task tray (and processes in Task Manager). Trying to open another GUI window is completely ignored. Must explicitly quit the app for it to close down fully. After that it can be loaded up again properly.

Ridiculous glaring problems like this are what cause everyone to question the quality of MS software.

This bug was reported in February and still isn't fixed. Thank you for taking our money and spitting on us Microsoft.
