This worked for me as well. Manually setting my language to English (US) then resetting the PC worked. Pretty wild fix.
Getting a Microsoft Visual C++ debug assertion error whenever I try to install anything Nvidia related.
Whenever I attempt to update my Nvidia drivers or even install any Nvidia programs such as GeForce, I get this error and don't know what to do:
Debug Assertion Failed!
Program:
...splayDriver/551.76/Win11_Win10-DCH_64/International/setup.exe
File: f:/dd/vctools/vc7libs/ship/atlmfc/include/atlexcept.h
Line: 95
Expression: false
I have already attempted to delete, repair and reinstall Visual C++ with no success

2024-05-24T22:48:01+00:00 I was having the issues of NVIDIA graphics drivers giving me weird error codes and my Bitdefender not working for over a month now. I randomly stumbled on this thread and I found that changing my preferred dialect to my native dialect to be the fix for my problems. Thank you all for the help, I was dreading having to do a full system reset as my computer would not let me do so.

2024-05-26T13:00:18+00:00 I also had bitdefender, but had since uninstalled it as I was suspicious it was related. I even let Windows repair through windows update and it still didn't fix it. my language was already set as English (United States), so I downloaded the English (UK) version, set it as primary, logged out, logged back in, set it back to English (United States). Set the region manually to English (United States), uninstalled the English (UK) version, restarted Windows, and now I just installed my Nvidia drivers no problem.
Thanks!
