In New Outlook, it opens an email when I click on it.

I want to change the setting to double-click. Please help.

I followed the instructions provided by Shawn Fennell, but under the Reading Pane Options I did not have the option "Single click to open items" I clicked the option "Always preview messages". That is how I was able to turn off Single Click to Open Items and go back to double click to open an email.

    Hope this helps.

That helped me fix the issue in the old Outlook except in the reading pane options, the only thing that I have checked is the "Mark items as read when viewed in the Reading Pane set to the default 3 seconds.

    Thanks much!
