Server Error A server error occurred. Please try again. [2605]

A couple of days ago, I noticed that my emails stopped synching in my outlook mobile app. I tried to log out/in and was greeted with the following message:

"Server Error A server error occurred. Please try again. [2605]"

I get this error with every outlook account, on wifi and mobile data, and in web browsers as well. I have another phone and tablet which the app is working perfectly fine.

I have tried essentially every solution that's posted when you search for this error:

  • Turned off wifi
  • Manually added 365 account
  • Cleared cache and data
  • Allowed all permissions
  • Uninstalled/reinstalled outlook
  • Ran phone system update

Any help would be much appreciated.

I got the same problem, can't access Outlook under my 365 abo.

The same message ( server error occurred code 2605) ... but almost 3 months later as the other guy your support was responding to. Seems that's more an MS software/coding topic than a hardware (server) topic.

Shame on Microsoft for allow this to linger on such an important app. that's how big business sticks it to you. Shame on you.

I was able to fix my problem after a couple of months using browser-based access. On my Android 14 phone I chose passwords and accounts and turned off Automatically sync app data. I reloaded teams and outlook and finally was able to start using the apps. Just go to settings and search for "sync" and it should take you there. Good Luck!

    Hi!

I did solve the issue by deleting work MS accounts and then logging in by desired app. In my case MS Teams. Account were in conflict and it was blocking login process.
