Document's format changes when working on the same document on different computers

We are using Publisher 2010 on the computers in our office but when opening the same document on different computers the formatting is different, specifically the spacing between lines.  Which means you cannot share the document between these two computers.  When the text on the 2nd computer is highlighted it shows a space above the text as if it were a much large font size.  This is only true for one of the computers.  Others work just fine.  What's wrong with the one that doesn't display correctly?

Check to make sure that the odd computer is not running Pub 2007. MS changed the default paragraph settings in Pub 2010.

Are you just opening the file to see the difference, or copy and pasting into a different publication?

There is a much easier solution than shown in the video. The change MS made is a combination of operating system and font. The result is that for a number of fonts lines are too close together in Windows 8 and 10. I don't think Microsoft are interested in cleaning up this mess as the use of Publisher is limited.

However, if you copy the font files from a Windows 7 machine (and store them securely somewhere) and use these in Windows 8 or 10, it looks fine again. The only problem is that when MS push out a new release such as Anniversary, the fonts are replaced again, so you do need to keep those old fonts and copy them back to the font directory after each major update. But then it all works.

Never understood the reason for the change in the first place...
