PowerPoint now supports selecting multiple object on a slide!

You have to press and hold an object with one finger and then tap other objects with another finger.

    Problem solved!!!!

    Cheers

Selecting multiple objects is currently not supported in PowerPoint for iPad.

If a set of items is already grouped (using a different client like PowerPoint for Windows/Mac), you can move those objects as a group on the iPad.

Thanks for the feedback, and let us know if there is anything else you would like to see improved!

I found this thread today after searching for the elusive multi select.  For the technically advanced I'd suggest using the Remote Desktop app.  It's available in the App Store and works perfectly w Win 8.1, enabling  full utilization of the desktop Office (or anything else) with no limitations.   The technical aspect of making it work is well beyond the scope of this thread.

    Steve,

I am currently in the transition of being PC free.  I have been using the office power point for several years on the PC and now I have begun using the power point on IPAD.  multi slide select, and the ability to copy and paste multiple slides within the same file and to other files seem so basic to the software but a very critical tool it is.  I agree with the other users comments above that it is such a critical tool that it almost renders the ipad version useless.  I need to create presentations on the go and the ability to quickly replicate slides in several areas by clicking and shift clicking a range of slides is critically important.  So c'mon Microsoft, next update please!
