    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.

Since the steps tried so far does not work, it could be an issue with a corrupt instance of Excel 2010 on your computer. To resolve the issue we shall try repairing Office 2010.

Let us follow these steps to repair Office 2010:

Right-click on the Office 2010 installation in the Programs and Features list in Control Panel (Start > Control Panel > Programsand/or Programs and Features) and right-click on Change > click on Repair. Once the repair is completed, make sure to restart your computer. Check if this helps to resolve the issue in Excel 2010.

Hope the above steps help you to resolve the issue. Let us know the status.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.

Have you checked if the issue happens in Excel Safe Mode?

If not then follow these steps as shown on the following Microsoft Resource article to open Excel in Safe Mode.

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/why-cant-i-start-my-office-2013-application-HA104011864.aspx

Note: The above article mentions Safe Mode steps for all Microsoft Office applications. Follow the steps as suggested for the Excel application.

Once Excel is open in the Safe Mode check if the issue resolves. In case it works fine, then follow the steps in the same article above to troubleshoot COM Add-ins.

Hope the above steps help you to resolve the issue. Try the above steps and let us know the result.

    Thank you.

    Hello Kevin,

I followed your instructions but unfortunately the problem remains.

Even by simple moving the cursor to the fields Logical 1, Logical 2,Logical 3, the distortion appears.

(It is a combined formula If>Or)

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

We tried reproducing your issue with the given information in Excel on our computers, but were unable to reproduce the distortion. It looks like an issue related to display distortion with respect to Excel 2010 on your computer.

In order to resolve this issue let us follow these steps in Excel 2010.

    1. Click on File tab > Options.
    2. Under Advanced make sure to uncheck (un-tick) the option Disable hardware graphics acceleration.
    3. Save the changes made by clicking on OK.
    4. Close and reopen Excel 2010.
    5. Check if the above helps in resolving the issue.

Note: In case the option Disable hardware graphics acceleration is already unchecked then check (tick) the option > save the changes and reopen Excel 2010 to check if this resolves the issue.

Try the above steps and let us know the result.

    Thank you.
